Oct. 10. 2025: The Township presentation and vote has been rescheduled
The presentation of the Planner’s final report regarding the Highland Line pit proposal has been postponed. It was originally scheduled for October 14, 2025, but will now take place at the Committee of the Whole meeting on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at 6:00 p.m., in the Lanark Highlands Council Chambers (75 George Street, Lanark).
The Township Planner will present his final report and recommendation to the Committee of the Whole for discussion. This meeting will be open to the public, with limited seating, and will be live-streamed on the Lanark Highlands YouTube Channel.
The Township will post the agenda for the November 25 meeting on their website on November 20. Council is scheduled to make its final decision on the application during their Council meeting on Tuesday, December 9, 2025.
No reason was provided for the change in dates, but additional information is expected to be submitted by the applicant and made available on the Cavanagh project webpage.
